Amy Monaghan is a Pushcart Prize nominated writer and visual artist. She is a graduate of the MFA Screenwriting program at UCLA where she was a winner of the 2019 Screenwriter’s Showcase, and also holds a BFA in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2024 she was selected as Grand Canyon National Park’s Artist-in-Residence. Her fiction writing has appeared in literary magazines such as Witness, The Spectacle, South Dakota Review, The Rejoinder, and others. Amy currently teaches composition and rhetoric at the University of Arkansas, where she is also an MFA candidate in Creative Writing (Fiction).
