Ashley Parker Owens is an Appalachian writer, poet, artist, and mystic living in Richmond, Kentucky, where the bluegrass meets the foothills and the past clings to the present. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Kentucky University. She also holds an MFA in Visual Arts from Rutgers University. She has received two Pushcart nominations (Tofu Ink Arts Press 2021, Phil Journal 2025).
Her previous published poetry collections include Euphoric Drift (2018), Retrospecter (2019), Unruly Spirits (Dancing Girl Press, 2018), Puppet (Rinky Dink Press, 2018), and Territorial Misfortune (2017).
