Siamak Vossoughi was born in Tehran, grew up in Seattle, and lives in San Francisco. He graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in English. He has had stories published in Fourteen Hills, The Missouri Review, Glimmer Train, The Rumpus, Washington Square, Kenyon Review Online, and Prick of the Spindle. His short story collection, Better Than War, came out in September, and it is a recipient of the 2014 Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction.
