While originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Victoria Isabella Walls’ academic career has taken place in Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Louis University in 2014, and will complete her Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (The University of Missouri—St. Louis) in December of 2016. In the Spring semester of 2015, she received runners-up awards for poetry and graduate composition from her department. Her poetry, fiction, and non-fiction typically focus on the intersectionality of race and sex, and she hopes to complete a chapbook of poems in the coming years.
