Emily Rose Proctor is a poet and pastor who grew up in south Alabama and attended Williams College, where she was awarded the Academy of American Poets’ Bullock Prize for Poetry in 2003. Her poetry has since been published by Poetry Breakfast, Rogue Homilies, Columbia Theological Seminary’s Journal for Preachers, Fidelia’s Sisters, and Presbyterians Today. She is also a winner in the West Florida Literary Federation’s 2016 poetry contest. Emily lives with her husband and infant son in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, where she co-hosts a monthly poetry openmic night and enjoys introducing people of all ages to poetry.
