David Bergman is the author of four books of poetry including Cracking the Code, winner of the George Elliston Prize. His latest book of poetry is Fortunate Light from Midsummer’s Night Press. His scholarly work includes Gaiety Transfigured (Wisconsin), The Violet Hour: The Violet Quill and the Making of Gay Culture (Columbia) and The Poetry of Disturbance (Cambridge). He is the author of the forthcoming whodunit Unassisted Living (Black Stream Press), in which the residents of a retirement community join together to solve the murder of a friend.
