Madronna Holden

 

In addition to her collaborations with David Wolfersberger, folklorist and storyteller Madronna Holden’s poems have appeared in the anthology Dona Nobis Pacem, as well as in American Writing, Northwest Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, Fireweed, Green Fuse, Windfall, the Aurorean, Cathexis NW, the Clackamas River Review, and Artis Natura, with work forthcoming in Equinox Prose and Poetry, among others. The community production of her poetry drama, The Descent of Inanna, was the subject of a special aired on Oregon Public Broadcasting.  Madronna received her Ph.D from the New School for Social Research in 1974 and taught at the university level for over three decades before retiring. She is using her retirement from university teaching to focus on her poetry.
