Ruby Peru

 

Ruby Peru studied with Kurt Vonnegut at Carnegie Mellon University, David Foster Wallace at Illinois State University, William Packard at NYU, and with actor/memoirist Alan Arkin before receiving her creative writing degree from The Evergreen State College. In 2021, her illustrated novel Bits of String Too Small to Save, blurbed by John Berendt, was a New York City Big Book Award distinguished favorite and she was called a Kirkus Reviews “Indie Author to Watch.” Peru is also co-author of detective novel Untamed Justice and a professional memoir ghostwriter personally fascinated by great illustration, the wild west, and abandoned places.
