Nicole Melanson grew up near Boston, studied at New York University and Oxford, and now lives in Sydney with her husband and their 5 little boys. She writes both poetry and fiction, and has received development grants in each from the Australia Council for the Arts. She also edits WordMothers, showcasing women’s work in the literary arts worldwide.
