Rebecca Nelson is an ecology PhD student at the University of California Davis. She graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Biology, a Minor in Creative Writing, and a Notation in Science Communication. Her writing has appeared in the EcoTheo Review and Moon Magazine. Her first book of poems, Walking the Arroyo, is available on Amazon. She has received a Scholastic National Art and Writing Awards gold medal and 3rd Place for the Stanford Planet Earth Arts Creative Writing Prize.
