Leona Sevick

Leona Sevick earned her doctorate in English language and literature from the University of Maryland, and she has written extensively on the work of American writer Willa Cather. Some of her most recent poetry is published in Barrow Street, Memoir, Bateau, and Delaware Poetry Review. Sevick is the 2012 first place winner of the Split This Rock Poetry contest, judged by Naomi Shihab Nye. She is Associate Provost and Associate Professor of English at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
