Doug S. Haines is a Texas musician and writer, who earned his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Memphis. His fiction has garnered many accolades in the literary community, and his collection of short stories, Things I Pray I Never Forget, was recently named a semi-finalist for the 2014 Elixir Press Fiction Award. In 2013, he was the Senior Editor and majority contributor on the nonfiction book about sustainable living from Texas Review Press, Resurrecting Trash: Dan Phillips and the Phoenix Commotion. He is a professor of English and Writing at Faytteville Tech in North Carolina.
